Well in this blog we're gonna put some questions that we have in this period. We will see and explain topics covered in class.


0 CONDITIONALS 

This conditional refers to a situation that is always true.
Ej: - If you freeze water, it turns into ice.
-If I work too much, I get tired. 
-If I have time, I usually go to the movies.

If + Present tensePresent tense
If you freeze waterit turns into ice.

1st conditional

Is formed with: if + simple present + future single. It is used when a situation is real or possible.

If + Present tensewill / can / may / must + verb
Example: -If it rains today, I'll stay at home.
-If he is busy now, I will come back tomorrow.
-If he doesn't do his homework, he can not go to the party.

"SIMPLE PRESENT"

Use the Simple Present to express the idea that an action is repeated or usual. The action can be a habit, a hobby, a daily event, a scheduled event or something that often happens. It can also be something a person often forgets or usually does not do.
Examples:
  • play tennis.
  • She does not play tennis.
  • Does he play tennis?

"SIMPLE PAST"

Use the Simple Past to express the idea that an action started and finished at a specific time in the past. Sometimes, the speaker may not actually mention the specific time, but they do have one specific time in mind.
Examples:
  • You called Debbie.
  • Did you call Debbie?
  • You did not call Debbie.

"GOING TO-FUTURE"

1) planned actions in the future

We are going to sing at the party.

2) You are certain that sth. is going to happen in the future.

Look at that car! It is going to crash into the yellow one.

Form

to be (am, are, is) + going to + infinitive

Examples

Affirmative sentences:

am going to play handball.
I'm going to play handball.

Negative sentences:

am not going to play handball.
I'm not going to play handball.

What, where, Who, why, when, which, how.

WHO

WHO is only used when referring to people. 
  • Who is the best football player in the world?

WHERE

WHERE is used when referring to a place or location. 
  • Where is the library?

WHEN

WHEN is used to refer to a time or an occasion.
  • When do the shops open?

WHY

WHY is used to obtain an explanation or a reason.
  • Why do we need a nanny?

WHAT

WHAT is used to refer to specific information. 
  • What is your name?

WHICH

WHICH is used when a choice needs to be made.
  • Which drink did you order – the rum or the beer?

HOW

HOW is used to describe the manner that something is done. 
  • How do you cook pie?
